Adnan Aziz Marei, “Abu Mujahid,” is a Palestinian soldier and one of the founders of the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades in the northern West Bank, along with Zaher Jabarin, Yahya Ayyash, and Ali Assi. They are the actual founder of the al-Qassam Brigades in the northern West Bank and who were known within the ranks of the brigades as the “quartet team.” The four were raised in the educational incubator of the Muslim Brotherhood, and they come from three neighboring villages: Rafat, Qarawat Bani Hassan, And salvit.
