Their story

Sayyed Ahmed bin Muhyiddin bin Mustafa Al-Hasani Al-Gharisi Al-Jazairi, a Maliki jurist and Qadri Sufi, an Algerian from the nineteenth century AD / thirteenth century AH. He lived most of his life in the Levant in Ottoman Syria. He was born in Qaitna, on the outskirts of Oran, Ottoman Algeria, and he is the youngest of the brothers of Prince Abdelkader Al-Jazairi. He grew up and learned it and memorized the Qur’an. Then he moved to Damascus in 1856 and learned from its scholars, then read at home and in the Annaba Mosque. He worked in jurisprudence, teaching, and writing, and he wrote a biography of his brother. He tended towards Sufism and followed the Qadiriyya method. He died in Damascus and was buried in the Bab al-Saghir cemetery.
