Albin Kitzinger

Albin Kitzinger was a German football player who played 44 international matches for 1. FC Schweinfurt 05 in the German national football team from 1935 to 1942, scoring two goals. He became known as an outside runner (World Cup game plan) of the European top class. In 1938, Kitzinger was appointed by the coach of the successful Italian World Cup teams in 1934 and 1938, Vittorio Pozzo, to the continental team that was formed for the first time for the game against England on October 26th. Together with Andreas Kupfer, who was also appointed to the continental selection, they formed a legendary pair of outside runners, as they did at 1. FC Schweinfurt 05 and in the German national team.
