Alexey Evgrafovich Favorsky is a Russian and Soviet organic chemist, a student of Alexander Butlerov, a specialist in the study of isomeric transformations in the series of unsaturated hydrocarbons, an engineer-inventor; younger brother of lawyer and politician Andrei Favorsky, uncle of graphic artist Vladimir Favorsky. Full member of the USSR Academy of Sciences. Hero of Socialist Labor, laureate of the Stalin Prize of the first degree.
