Their story
André Weckmann was an Alsatian writer. The poet lived in Strasbourg, but he often stayed in the area of his origins in the Bay of Zabern and the Zorn breakthrough. He was one of the most important and progressive Alsatian dialect poets, but made use of various literary forms in all three forms of expression of his homeland: Alsatian, Standard German and French.
