Andy Kessler

Andy Kessler was an American-born Greek skateboarder. A pioneer of skateboarding in New York in the 1970s, Kessler was one of the prominent members of the movement The Soul Artists of Zoo York, created along with other skateboarding comrades in the 1980s. In the 1990s, Kessler convinced the New York City Parks Department to build a skateboarding center in Riverside Park, after his group began to lose strength. Years later, a documentary called Deathbowl to Downtown was created, where Kessler is one of the protagonists.
