Their story
Antonia Ferrín Moreiras was a mathematician, professor and the first Galician astronomer. Mainly, he contributed to astronomy with work on stellar occultations by the Moon, measurements of double stars and astrometric measurements, as well as with the determination of steps by two verticals, research that he carried out while working at the Santiago Observatory.
