Apisai Vuniyayawa Mohammed Tora, born in Vunidawa on January 5, 1934 and died in Lautoka on August 6, 2020, is a Fijian trade unionist, soldier and then politician. He is described as a "passionate" political activist, but also as a "chameleon" for his party switching, and as an "extremist" and an "ultra-nationalist" for his creation of a pressure movement advocating indigenous political supremacy, and for his participation in anti-democratic indigenous nationalist governments.
