Constantin Ion Parhon was a Romanian politician, scientist, doctor (endocrinologist) and chairman of the Provisional Presidium of the Romanian People's Republic from December 30, 1947 to June 2, 1952 (until April 13, 1948 he was chairman of the Presidium of the Great National Assembly.
