Their story
Donald Peers, full name Donald Rhys Hubert Peers, was a Welsh singer. He was born in Ammanford. In 1940, he enlisted in the army, from which he left in 1944. Even at that time, he entertained other soldiers with his performances. In 1944 he recorded the song "In a Shady Nook by a Babbling Brook". He later recorded a number of other songs and also appeared in films. He later settled in Australia. He died in the English city of Hove at the age of 65.
