Their story
Edward Daly, born December 5, 1933 and died August 8, 2016, is an Irish Catholic prelate, priest then bishop of the Diocese of Derry. Considered one of the major figures of the Irish Church, he is particularly known for a photo taken during Bloody Sunday in 1972, which shows him running around a wounded man waving a white handkerchief, which is where his nickname "bishop with the white handkerchief" comes from.
