Their story

Edward F. Pimental was a soldier in the United States Army. Terrorists from the Red Army Faction murdered him on the night of August 8, 1985 in order to get his military ID card. The following day, the RAF used the ID card to gain access to Rhein-Main Air Base and planted a car bomb there. The selection of Pimental, who unlike other RAF victims was not a celebrity, and the execution-like manner of killing resulted in the sharpest criticism of the RAF ever from those around him.
