Ester Ringnér-Lundgren

Ester Maria Ringnér-Lundgren, born Ringnér October 4, 1907 in Norrköping, died July 26, 1993, was a Swedish author who wrote fairy tales, children's books and youth books. Her debut was the children's book Kvirre och Hoppsan (1951). The publication during the author's lifetime amounts to 140 titles. She is perhaps best known for the series about Lotta (1958–1991), written under the pseudonym "Merri Vik" or the books about the trolls Kvirre och Hoppsan (1951–1973). The books about Trulsa and Pysseliten, written 1961–1975, were used in Swedish education for primary school in Sweden during the 1960s and 1970s. In addition to Merri Vik, she also used the pseudonyms Kaj Ringnér and Beril Björk on a few titles.
