Their story
Fabio Mamerto Rivas Santos, Dominican Roman-Catholic bishop. Born in Cabirmota, La Vega Province, Rivas Santos was ordained a priest in 1965. In 1976 he became bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Barahona. He resigned and left his post in 1999. He died in Cerabacoa on 11 August 2018, aged 86.
