Georg Ritter von Schönerer

Georg Heinrich Schönerer, Georg Heinrich Ritter von Schönerer from 1860 to 1888 and from 1917 to 1919, was an Austrian landlord and politician. From 1879 to the turn of the century, Schönerer was important as leader, first of the German Nationalist and later of the Pan-German Association. He was a fierce opponent of political Catholicism, a radical anti-Semite, and had a strong influence on the young Adolf Hitler, who saw him as one of his role models.
