Georges Duthuit is a French art critic and writer. He married Marguerite, daughter of the painter Henri Matisse. He has many articles and books on painting. He discovered painters such as Jean-Paul Riopelle, Bram van Velde and Nicolas de Staël. He is a fierce defender of Matisse's works.
