Gilles Thibaut, born September 21, 1927 in Paris and died August 2, 2000 in La Hauteville in Yvelines, is a French trumpeter and lyricist. He is the author of several great successes in French song, notably for Claude François, Johnny Hallyday and Michel Sardou, for whom he respectively wrote Comme d'habit, Que je t'aime and Je va t'aimer.
