Their story
Henry Lytton was an English actor and singer who was the first exponent of the comic baritone roles in the operas of Gilbert and Sullivan in the early years of the 20th century. His career in these operas, with the D'Oyly Carte Opera Company spanned 50 years, and he was the only person named Sir for his successes as a performer of works by Gilbert and Sullivan. Lytton also worked on numerous Edwardian musical comedies. He was married to his D'Oyly Carte partner, the artist Louie Henri.
