Huw Ceredig

Huw Ceredig, born Huw Ceredig Jones, was a Welsh actor. He was born in the village of Brynamman in Carmarthenshire, South West Wales. His younger brothers were singer and politician Dafydd Iwan and politician Alun Ffred Jones. Studied at Llandovery College. In 1974 he began acting in a Welsh language soap opera called Pobol y Cwm. He remained in the cast of the series for 29 years, until 2003. He later starred in films such as Twin Town (1997) and On the Edge of Love (2008). His autobiographical book Cofio Pwy Ydw I was published in 2006. He died in 2011 at the age of 69.
