Irene Amos Morgan, is an African-American personality from the United States born April 9, 1917 and died August 10, 2007 in Gloucester, Virginia. She is known for refusing to give up her seat to a white man on a Greyhound bus on July 16, 1944, like Rosa Parks eleven years later. At the age of 27, she was arrested and thrown in prison.
