Their story
Israel Zangwill was a British Jewish writer, essayist, journalist and political activist in the feminist, pacifist and Zionist movements. According to the majority of historians, Zangwill is the author of the Zionist slogan “A country without a people for a people without a country.” This first appeared in the New Liberal Review article The Return to Palestine in December 1901.
