Their story
James S. Shigeta was an award-winning American actor and singer. Born in Hawaii, he graduated in arts from New York University. Throughout his 55-year career, he stood out for his performances as Wang Ta, in Flor de Lotus (1961) and Joe Takagi, in Die Hard (1988); between others. He was also a singer, achieving relative success in Japan; despite not speaking the language.
