Jurji Zaydan

Jurji Habib Zidane is a Lebanese writer, novelist, historian, and journalist. I am also proficient in the Arabic language. Hebrew, Syriac, French and English. He published Al-Hilal magazine, which he edited himself, in Rabi’ al-Awwal 1310 AH, corresponding to the year 1892 AD, and published his books in it. His books include: “The History of Islamic Civilization,” “The History of Arabic Language Literature,” “Biographies of Famous People of the East,” and others. In addition, he is famous for his historical novels such as “Al-Mamlouk Al-Sharad,” “Armanusa Al-Misriyya,” and others. He is one of the first thinkers who helped formulate the theory of Arab nationalism.
