Konrad Alexander Friedrich Duden was a Prussian-German high school teacher and emerged as a philologist and lexicographer. Konrad Duden created the German spelling dictionary named after him, the Duden, and thus had a significant influence on the development of uniform spelling in the German-speaking world at the end of the 19th century.
