Their story
Kurt Adolf Körber was a German entrepreneur in the field of mechanical and plant engineering as well as a patron of the arts. In 1946 he founded the Hauni Maschinenfabrik in Hamburg-Bergedorf, which is best known for producing machines for making filter cigarettes. The company is now part of Körber AG, an international mechanical engineering group. Körber is considered one of the great entrepreneurial personalities of the post-war period in the Federal Republic and transferred his entrepreneurial drive to society through the Körber Foundation.
