Lily Braun, born Amelia Jenny Emilie Klothilde Johanna von Kretschmann, first married Lily von Gizycki, was a German writer, social democrat, women's rights activist and journalist. She was particularly committed to the compatibility of motherhood and working life. She published her autobiography, Memoirs of a Socialist; Above all, she described her commitment to women's emancipation.
