Louis Couturat, born January 17, 1868 in Paris and died August 3, 1914 in Ris-Orangis, is a French philosopher, logician and mathematician. Belonging, like Bertrand Russell, to the logicist movement, he published unpublished fragments of Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz as well as now classic studies on the latter.
