Their story
Louis Jouvet was a famous French actor, set designer and theater director. His activity focused on French Comedy, the Theater des Champs-Élysées and the Parisian Théâtre de l'Athénée. A great interpreter of Molière, Shakespeare, Pierre Corneille, Alfred de Musset, Marcel Achard, Jules Romains, Jean Giraudoux, Jean Genet and other classics and contemporaries of his country's theater, he was one of the most prestigious French actors and rose to fame in the film Topaze by Marcel Pagnol and with Arletty in the 1938 film Hotel du Nord by Marcel Carné.
