Luis Ángel Ramírez Saldarriaga, known as El Caballero Gaucho, was a Colombian singer and composer who was a pioneer of Colombian popular music, the bolero, the tango, the ranchera and the Ecuadorian waltz. More than a thousand compositions credit him as the prolific author that he was; Among them are "Old Lantern", "Flor de Bulevar", "Old Toy", "Far from the Dairy", "Indian Love", "Amores de Arrabal", "Final Stage", "Grievances", "When a Man Cries", and "Kisses out of Habit".
