Marceau Long, born April 22, 1926 in Aix-en-Provence and died July 23, 2016 in Créteil, is a senior French civil servant. He was the second CEO of the ORTF from 1973 to 1975, then Secretary General of the Government from 1975 to 1982, and Vice-President of the Council of State from 1987 to 1995. He was, according to Marc Guillaume, Secretary General of the Government at the time of his death, "one of the greatest servants of the State of the second half of the 20th century. »
