Their story
Marcelino Valentín Gamazo was a Spanish lawyer, secretary of the Madrid Bar Associations on three occasions, dean of the State's lawyers and attorney general of the Spanish Republic. He tried, unsuccessfully, to have the socialist Francisco Largo Caballero convicted as the ringleader of the 1934 Revolution. He was murdered at the beginning of the Civil War, after having been arrested by PSOE militiamen along with several of his children in the family country house in Rubielos Altos.
