Mehrdad Pahlbod is a former Iranian politician and minister. He served as the Minister of Culture and Arts of Iran between 1964-78. He is also Iran's first Minister of Culture and Arts. He married Shams Pevlevi, the sister of Shah Reza Pahlavi, from the Iranian royal family.
