Muhammad Asif al-Mohseni al-Qandahari is one of the authorities of the Shiite tradition in Afghanistan, a supporter of the idea of rapprochement between Islamic schools of thought, the head of the Shura of Shiite Scholars in Afghanistan, the founder of the seminary and the Khatam al-Nabiyyin University in Kabul, as well as a member of the Supreme Shura of the World Assembly of Ahl al-Bayt, the former leader of the Islamic movement in Afghanistan, and the founder of the Hadara Channel.
