Nājī Maʻrūf

Naji Marouf Abd al-Razzaq al-Obaidi al-Azami, an Iraqi historian, professor of history at the University of Baghdad, authored a number of books, and is a member of the Iraqi Scientific Academy. He belongs to the Arab slave tribe, Al-Zubaidiyah, Al-Qahtaniyah Al-Himyariyya, and is the brother of Awad Ma’rouf and Ahmed Ma’rouf, the father of Khaldoun Naji Ma’rouf, and the uncle of Bashar Awad Ma’rouf.
