Olof Gustav Hugo Lagercrantz, born March 10, 1911 in Hedvig Eleonora parish, Stockholm, died July 23, 2002 in Lovö parish, Ekerö municipality, Stockholm County, was a Swedish poet, literary scholar and publicist. As editor-in-chief of Dagens Nyheter in the years 1960–1975 with primary responsibility for culture, he came to have a key role in the radicalization of Swedish cultural life that took place during this time.
