Paul Walker was an American actor best known as Brian O'Conner in the Fast & Furious films, admired equally for his easygoing warmth on screen and his quiet generosity off it.

Their story

Paul William Walker IV was born in Glendale, California, in 1973 and began acting as a child in commercials and television. After roles in films such as Varsity Blues and She's All That in the late 1990s, he found the part that defined his career in 2001, when he was cast as undercover officer Brian O'Conner in The Fast and the Furious.

Over six Fast & Furious films, Walker anchored one of the most successful franchises in cinema history, his genuine love of cars and easy chemistry with Vin Diesel giving the series its heart. Away from blockbusters he sought quieter projects like Eight Below and Hours, and pursued a lifelong passion for marine biology, joining research expeditions and appearing in a shark-tagging documentary series.

In 2010 Walker founded Reach Out Worldwide, a disaster-relief organization that sent skilled volunteers to crisis zones. He died in a car accident in Santa Clarita, California, in November 2013, at forty. Furious 7 was completed in his honor and released with a moving farewell to his character. His daughter and his charity continue his legacy of kindness, adventure, and family.
