Their story
Prince Kamal al-Din Hussein is the son of Sultan Hussein Kamel and Princess Ain al-Hayat, the daughter of Prince Ahmed Rifaat Pasha, and his siblings are Prince Ahmed Kazem, Princess Kazemah, and Princess Kamila. Prince Kamal al-Din Hussein continued to be called His Highness until the year 1922 AD. Egypt’s independence was declared in that year, and Sultan Fuad assumed the title of King of Egypt. A royal law was issued granting the title “His Royal Highness” to the children of Sultan Hussein, so Prince Kamal al-Din Hussein became titled His Royal Highness. Prince Kamal al-Din Hussein married Princess Nemat Allah Tawfiq, the daughter of Khedive Tawfiq, and he did not have any children from her. However, she had previously been married to the nobleman Adel Tousen and had a son whom she named Jamil Tousen. It is noteworthy that Princess Nemat Allah is the second daughter of Khedive Tawfiq, so her first or second marriage did not give her titles because she was called a princess before that.
