Ramón Martínez Vigil was a Dominican friar, Catholic bishop, Spanish philosopher and theologian, with extensive knowledge in the field of natural sciences. He held the position of bishop of Oviedo from 1884 to 1904. He was the uncle of Maximiliano Arboleya.
