Robert Gravel, born September 14, 1944 in Montreal, died August 12, 1996 in Saint-Gabriel-de-Brandon, Quebec, is a Quebec actor, director, playwright and teacher. He is the co-founder of the Théâtre Expérimental de Montréal (TEM), the New Experimental Theater (NTE) and Espace Libre. In 1977 he founded the National League of Improvisation (LNI) which he chaired until his death. In his honor, a secondary school specializing in drama is named after him. He had a whopping record of 266 votes in the room.
