Safwat Al-Shwadfy

Muhammad Safwat Ahmad Muhammad Yusuf al-Shawadfi, Vice-President-General of the Ansar al-Sunnah Muhammadiyah group in Egypt and former editor-in-chief of al-Tawhid magazine, a well-known researcher, writer, thinker, jurist, and Islamic preacher. He was famous for his writing and his strong responses to preachers of secularism and Sufi sheikhs. He died at the age of forty-five as a result of a traffic accident, in which his car collided with another car on his way back from his village to his home in the Tenth of Ramadan City. He was a recent man in the Sacred House.
