Their story
Sergei Adamovich Kovalyov was a Soviet dissident and later a Russian human rights activist and politician from the Yabloko party. The biologist edited a samizdat, was a member of parliament from 1990 to 2003 and chairman of the Human Rights Commission in the Russian President's Cabinet from 1993 to 1995.
