Talgat Amangeldievich Musabaev is a Soviet and Russian cosmonaut. Hero of the Russian Federation (1994), People's Hero of Kazakhstan (1995), Major General of the Russian Federation (2003), Lieutenant General of the Aviation of the Republic of Kazakhstan (2007), Doctor of Technical Sciences (2008). Chairman of the National Space Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan (2007-2016). Deputy of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan (2017-2023).
