Their story
Tamara Ustinovna Pamiatnij was a Soviet fighter pilot who fought in the ranks of the 586th Fighter Aviation Regiment during World War II. On March 19, 1943, during a patrol mission, she shot down two German Ju 88 bombers, for which she was awarded the Order of the Red Banner.
