Their story
Jakob Ernst Waldemar Bonsels was one of the most widely read German writers in the 1920s. His 1912 book Maya the Bee and Her Adventures, which was translated into over 40 languages, and its sequel, Himmelsvolk, published in 1915, made him world famous.
