Wilhelm Viktor Gustav Adolf Schneemelcher was a Protestant theologian and professor of New Testament and history of the ancient church (patristics) at the University of Bonn from 1954 to 1979. His revisions of the German translation of the New Testament Apocrypha are widespread.
