Willem Johan van Blommestein [ˈʋiləm jɔˈɦɑn fɑn ˈblɔməstɛin] was a Dutch hydraulic engineer who worked on many projects: for the FAO in Sumatra, Thailand, in the border area of India and China, western Suriname and eastern Suriname (Lake Blommestein), Venezuela.
